A new report from Gartner indicates that Google Glass will get a much more useful feature in 2018.
While there’s still no clear indication that this feature will make it to the Glass 2, it could come in handy for certain functions like gaming, which requires the glasses to be worn with an external headset.
Google Glass uses a lot of energy to operate.
This makes it harder to use in the winter or on cloudy days, so the feature might be a useful way to keep the device plugged in for longer periods of time.
Google already released a new version of Glass for Android, but the company hasn’t announced when it will add Glass 2 support.
We’ve reached out to Google for more details, and we’ll update if we hear back.
